WARANGAL: N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Telangana Congress Committee’s chief has once again criticized the ruling government with an open letter to the Chief minister Mr. K Chandra Sekhar Rao. The TPCC President accused the TRS government of falsely implicating the Warangal Congress leaders in Corporator Anishetty Murali Manohar’s murder case.
Alleging that the ruling government is targeting the Congress leaders, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Police have been pressurized to include the names of DCC President Nayini Rajender Reddy, Congress leaders Kaniganti Shekar and Pothula Sreeman in the Warangal Corporator’s murder case.
In his letter to the Chief Minister, Mr. Reddy pointed out that the corporator was murdered on July 13, 2017, following which the persons who have committed the crime voluntarily surrendered in the police station. “It has run all over the TV media that the persons in question, who have murdered the corporator had a previous enmity with him. Then, from where did the role of Congress leaders stepped in?”, he questioned.
“Despite the persons confessing that they have willfully killed the corporator, it is really shocking on how can the TRS government book Congress leaders as A4, A5, and A6, stamping them as conspirators in the murder case”, he said.
“The remand report of the police says that Rajender Reddy, the DCC President conspired to the above murder in December 2015. It is important to not that Rajender Reddy lost his only son, studying engineering in Hyderabad, in a road accident on November 25, 2015. Why will a person engulfed in the pain of losing his son, will plot a sketch to kill someone”, said Mr. Reddy.
The TPCC Chief demanded that the chief minister should constitute a SIT to re-investigate into the case and make sure that innocent people aren’t targeted.
